In life. People always aspire to be famous for some ludicrous reason. Some people will reach to any height or stoop to any low to acquire fame too. Some people believe that talent will make them famous and while it should be the way of things that talent should make one famous, the truth of the matter is that talent does not make one famous.
You see. A musician may have written the best song in the world (as Tenacious D once did), but if that fat balding man at the desk who is not only someone who is not famous, but usually fat and balding says that he will not allow you to record, you will not become famous.
And so it is the way of things that the only time anyone will ever be famous, is when someone who isn't famous says that they are.
And they do it all the time. Some journalist for some high-flyer magazine says that this person will be the next big thing and - usually - they become the next big thing. Is the journalist famous? No. Is the owner of the magazine famous? No.
Just some thoughts.
