Have you ever been to Libya? I have. I have been to a lot of places, Iraq included. I wish you could have gone before
this war started.

Of Libya, we are talking of a country whose standard of living was second only to Canada.
They had excellent healthcare, cars were sold at factory prices to the public, married couples were given free startup homes
by the government. Everyone had a job. Nobody was homeless. Everyone had money and everything was cheap. Bread selling
at around 15-20 cents and milk at 30-50 cents.

Gaddafi was not half as evil as the West painted him and nobody particularly wanted him out of power. The Libyan opinion of
Gaddafi was generally very positive. (only 26% favoured action against him).  

So why this 'humanitarian' effort to install Democracy?

Well for a start it's nothing to do with installing Democracy. You can't go to a country like we did Afghanistan and exchange one
set of cultural rules we don't agree with and install another and call that freedom. That is what we call in the trade 'bullshit'.

The REAL reason was that Libya was on the cusp of making itself one of the strongest economic powers on the globe and making
America pretty much obsolete. This would be done with the creation of a gold-backed currency called the Dinar. In which Libya,
as one of the largest exporters of oil per year, would begin to trade their oil ONLY in the gold Dinar. The system would leave
countries that had a high gold ratio per individual of that population richer. So while the UK has twice as much Gold as Libya,
it has 10  times more people, and so would not be as strong under the Gold Dinar as Libya was.

America couldn't allow this. Since it's currency is no backed by Gold and hasn't been since the 30's. It's a currency with no real value
and eastern and asian countries would have been eager to switch to the Dinar because of its gold-backed value.

It was much the same story for the invasion of Iraq. Saddam had made public his plans to start trading his oil in the Euro and
America simply couldn't afford for OPEK to go through with its plan to switch to Euro trading in that event. Quickly enough
sanctions and an invasion followed.

You will, like as not, begin to think this will be a diatribe on how women are treated in
the media and how it's all incredibly awful that women are largely treated like meat.
But you would be wrong.

I should have possibly entitled this article 'Fuck feminists. And fuck the chip on their shoulder too'.

Now, when you REALLY think about it. There's only one group of people who can be held accountable
for the way that women are treated in this day and age: Women.

See. Feminists complain endlessly and tirelessly that playboy, FHM, etc. etc. are all objectifying women
and turning them into sex objects, but on the covers of these magazines I don't see women held down
by Elephant Tape with large burly men stood over them holding a sign saying 'sex object'.
What I see is women gleefully disrobing and spread-eagling for all the world to see. Now, you see, here's
the thing. You can complain about what these magazines do to the objectification and sexualization of
women, but if not a single women out there agreed to pose for these magazines, there would BE no
magazines.

The 'women are manipulated into it' argument is only half true. Nobody can trick or manipulate you into
getting your baps out for the big wide world. It's not as if they answered Ad's for clown school in the paper
and ended up in FHM instead. Darn that trickery. No. They knew what they were doing and the manipulator
here is their own damn selves. Their greed. They have a conscious moral choice to turn down an awful lot
of money in return for the small price of their posing in a bikini (or less) for whichever magazine you fancy.
Only the particularly stupid can be manipulated into such things if not for their own greed.

So I don't want to hear continued bullshit from militant feminists about the horrible way in which men
treat women. Because if it wasn't for women in the first place, the situation would be a nonissue.

It is women that do women a disservice for sexual equality. Nobody else.

I don't know why It happens, but I seem to have a magnetic attraction to Christians. I am inclined to think that perhaps a group of them
have formed a small cult and are intentionally coming after me. But whatever the case, I was once again presented with a Christian.
This time an Anti-Science Christian, of all people.

He also had a headache, which caused the Cogs of Heresy to turn within my mind.

He said that he disagree'd with the progress of science and that we should be relying on God more for understanding and guidance of ourselves and the universe around us.

I asked him if he'd had a headache before and he confirmed that he had.

'Did you pray for it to go away?' I asked.
'Yes, I did,' replied he.
'And did it go away?' I asked again.
'No, it didn't. But that's not the point I was try-' I cut him off.
'So you had to take a paracetamol instead and then it went away,' quoth I.
'Yes but-' I cut him off again.
'So what you've just told me, is that despite your views, scientific methods
rid you of your ailment and that praying had no affect whatsoever.'
'Well...'
'So what you're telling me is that your anti-science views are merely you parroting
the words of someone else - most likely your preacher - and demonstrating that
not only are you ignorant, but unable to think for yourself.'

He had no response.
